Default Repair TREO 650

I recently had an accident in which the bottom part of my Treo 650 got wet I have dried it since. Now the speaker does not work properly (when on a call sometimes I loose the audio and cannot hear the other person) and the Pocket Tunes does not worka and the Hot Sync signal is off also. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

aflorest,

I am afraid that you may be suffering from water damage to the electrical components. Did you allow the treo to dry completely before trying to turn it back on. Allowing it to dry a day or two could fix the problem. Since electric components are delicate and hate liquid due to its conductive properties, it is possible that you may have shorted out parts of the main circuit board. I am afraid that there is nothing you can do other than call for customer support and hope they will replace it for you without question. I believe water damage is not covered by the warrenty and gives them a reason to not help you in this case. I am sorry for your lost.

Default Water Damage to bottom of 650

I am just encountering this problem (my daughter dropped my phone in the snow!). Now it seems to want to register a wired handsfree device no matter whether one is plugged in or not -- so, I can't use the phone normally or with bluetooth accessories.

Whatever happened with your issue? Would they replace or fix it?
