Default resetting problems after backup restore

hi, after I'd unfortunatly deleted my calendar items on my treo, and after a hotsync also the items in entourage were gone; I tried to restore my calendar by restoring the back up of my safetycopy of my hotsync program. I did this, and since then I can't open the calendar on the treo, whitout the treo resetting, so I even can't open my calendar anymore. thank you for any suggestion.

You need to do another hard reset to be sure your phone works without any data installed. If the phone works I would then sync one conduit at a time to find what is causing the problem. Wait I see that you are having only a problem with the calendar causing the reset. Assuming that this is the palm calendar not a third party software you may want to check out the link below...

When you execute a hard reset and then a regular restore, you bring the problem back. What Plunker stated, one-at-a-time - cannot beat it.

The above suggestions are excellent, but before you do that next hard reset, perhaps download a trial of DBFixit, which checks all of your onboard data bases for errors. Apparently you have an offending record or something in your calendar. If you find and errors, you will need to buy the program to have it fix them. But it takes one click and they are gone. Then after you have fixed the problem, do a Hotsync to your computer and it will correct your backup copy on your MAC.

EDIT: Yikes, sorry Plunker, I did not see your link to DBFixit. I own that app, it's very quick and thorough.

so I downloaded DBfix, corrected all errors, but the treo ist still resetting when I try to open the calendar or read my sms messages... I think the hard reset is the only option left?

The next question: how many text messages do you have? If you answer bunches, then that very well might be the problem there. The calendar though, that should not be happening if you did correct the problem with DBFixit, meaning with it registered.

in my sentbox there are 132, but I can't delete them, when I try to, nothing happens... ;and in the inbox there is one textmessage that, everytime I try to open it, causes a reset... the problem with the calendar seems to be solved. thanks for all your kind answers.

Instead of trying to open this offending text message in your INBox, just delete it. then see if your problem persists. If it solves your reset problem, see if you can then move those text messages in your SENT box to your card where you can then copy them to your PC and erase them from the card. then you can delete the messaging database as Plunker suggested.

EDIT: we must have posted at the same time, I see you solved your problem. Great!
