    Default Ringo

I've been looking into purchasing Ringo for myself and my roommate (as we both have new Treo's) and I was wondering if any of you knew if I could just purchase one and use the serial or whatever for both phones or if I would actually have to purchase two?

This same question sort of applies for any Palm software I'd want to purchase as well as the Salling Clicker.

Also, I've been reading many of the threads concerning software for the Palm and have downloaded accordingly, but still, I was wondering if any of you could reccommend some fun/helpful/organizational software that is under $10.00, or preferably free (as I am a poor college student, I don't even know how I have a Treo).

    Thanks so much.

Many licenses are keyed to the user ID that you use to hotsync. But the real question is not what is possible, but what is right. If you buy a license for one user, but then use it for two, you are stealing. So, I would encourage you to do the right thing and pay for whatever software you are going to use.

    Enjoy your new Treo!

Christopher's right on 2 counts. Registration for new apps is user-specific. That's why they ask for your hotsync ID when you register. Also, if the developers don't get supported, they'll stop working for us.

That being said, here are a couple places you can look for freeware:
    FreewarePalm.com
    PalmGear
    BrotherSoft

When you're not quite-so-starving a student, there's an excellent software store here at Everything Treo.
    Sprint Treo 700p
2Day, 4Cast, Agendus Premier, BluePill, Butler, Chatter, Diddlebug, Flight Status, Google Maps, LightwavPro, MyBible 4, Noah Pro, palmPDF, PDANet, ProfileCare, pTunes Deluxe, QuickNews, Reset Doctor, RescoBackup, SplashID/Money, TCPMP, TealLock, UninstallManager, volumeCare Pro, ZLauncher
