Ringtones

I have 4 or 5 ringtones that I have created, they are in the list of available ringtones and my phone will play them but when I try to assign it to a contact it still rings with the default. Do I need to change a setting, whats going on?

you might create a test contact with one of your tones. if it works delete a contact and recreate it.

Also you said your phone will play them...you do mean they are listed under your tones and can play them there?

I can assign them to the categories, known callers and unknown callers, but they will not work if I try to assign them to a specific contact.

hmmm....Do any of the factory ringtones work with those contacts? have you done a soft reset?

yes the factory ringtones work it is just the ones I've downloaded, I will try a reset and post later.

Will your ringtones work as the default??

Did you make them and load them with minitones or are you using another 3rd party software?

I used musictones and I also have a few that are just voice clips that I recorded with the phone. I went under sound preferences then to tones and I have "known callers" and "unknown callers" they work fine there it is only when I try to assign them to a specific contact.

When you open your contact is the ringtone there or is it changed back to the default?

You are looking at your favorites not your contacts?

It's still there, that is what baffled me.
