Ringtones: combining escalating ringtone volume with per-caller ringtones Hi all;
I'm a 650 newbie after coming over (reluctantly, I'll admit it) from a Kyocera 7135 that died. Sigh, I'll miss my old friend - RIP.
I'm still trying to figure this little beastie out - so far, so good - one issue, though, I really liked the combination of customizable ringtone per caller with escalating ringtone I had on the 7135. I couldn't play mp3's directly as ringtones, but could convert them to ringtones, and assign them to individual callers.
From the reading I've done on this and other forums, their are a number of programs that allow you to set custom ringtones (ringo pro, lightwav, mring, treoguard, etc), some of the programs allow setting ringtones per caller, and some allow escalating volume ringtones, but none offer all 3.
Treoguard allows setting mp3 ringtones, with escalating volume, but doesn't allow setting individual ringtones per caller.
From what I can tell, Mring, Ringo Pro, and Lightwave all allow mp3 ringtones, with
individual ringtones per caller, but don't provide an escalating volume setting.
Lightwave and Mring both require pockettunes, as well, to play mp3's - a negative in my book, since I have an iPod for MP3's I don't intend to make my treo my default MP3 player - so requiring pockettunes essentially addes $30 to the cost of customizable ringtones.
Anyone found an all in one solution that provides the combo I'm looking for (mp3 ringtones, settings per caller, and escalating volume).
Thanks!
