Millerhifi has been here at ET since the early days. He might have more posts than me! :D

Speaking of which, I have to set up user reputation levels and titles beyond junior and senior. Something more creative. Treo Sensei or along those lines... Any suggestions?

Going creative with rankings & reputations is a great idea. But some forums, which shall remain nameless, get so creative that you can't tell who is who relative to whom! (Is "I know my Treo's moods" more or less senior than "My Treo is my best friend"?)

If you're martial arts inclined, how 'bout color belts? Most folks would know that a Treo Brown Belt has been around longer than a Treo Yellow Belt. Of course, as the admin you'd assign yourself the "Sensei" monicker.

P.S. What's a forum "reputation" and who determines it?

I agree. Creative, but not "cheesy". It should serve to distinguish those who are experts from newer members -- using # of posts as a the measuring stick.

The tough thing if it was millerhifi passed you, it might be one of those student becoming teacher things...

This is a much friendlier forum that televisionwithoutpity.com. I got banned for 5 days from posting because i hadn't read 15 pages of previous threads. Gimme a break!

Anyone else, anyone else, Where are you from, what do you do, how has the Treo changed your life?

What the heck; I'll bite. I'm a medical professional in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. I've never owned (and, as of today, still don't own) a Treo, but i've been a dedicated PalmOS afficionado since 1995. I'm about to buy the Verizon Treo 650 (which, as per a Verizon store rep today, will be available on WEDNESDAY this week).
Essentially, I've been waiting for a Hi-Res PalmOS smartphone for years. I actually called PalmOS about 2 weeks before Sprint announced they'd carry the 650. The Palm rep said "I'm sorry sir, but I'm not permitted to comment on products that meet your specifications that may or may not be released some time in the next few weeks." I said "Thank you very much, and politely hung up the phone. 6+ months later (an eternity in gadget-time) I'm about the be satisfied.

Greeniis here, from the Midwest. I am a Mac convert, and have owned my 650 for a couple of months. I use Sprint, and had to laugh, Chris, about your email compulsion... me, too! In fact, I almost switched over to Chattermail because of the "push" mail ability!
    I LOVE my Treo!!!!
