Default Rollover Text Messages

Hello everyone! When I used my Treo 600, I could create a text message, type as much as I want, and it would just rollover to a new message when I exceed 160 characters. When I finished, it would say something like 350 characters in 3 text msgs. With my Treo 650, it shuts me down at 160 characters; which leaves me trailing back through to try and make the message shorter, abbreviate words, etc.

Is there ANY way to program my Treo 650 to allow me to rollover my text messages continuously?

Thanks

i dont think you can rolloever text on the 650 but i had a 600 before and it stoped me at like 175 or something you probably had a program on your phone that you didnt know about.
I would post in the 600 forum to see if anyone has the program so you can sync it to your 650. Then post it here cause id be interested in rollover text too.
but you can start to use an email system like versamail (came with the phone). then you can just email as much as you want and then text the person "check your email" or just do what i do when i have a long text. send more than one

You have made me wonder something . . . I know that with an old Nokia Phone I have, I used to get "breaking News" alerts through CNN. It would say message 1 of 6 or one of 5, but I could only see the first message. (at about 60 characters) And I know that with my Treo, I am limited to 160 characters like you said. No rollover into a new message. By the way, I am with Cingular, if that makes a difference . . . I am wondering if this isn't a limiting feature added because many phones (like my old Nokia) are limited to how much text they can recieve?? Did anyone ever complain to you about not getting your entire message when it crossed into other messages?

No, never. When I would type a txt msg to my wife or a friend, I would just type until I was finished (Treo 600). Then the person on the other end would get the msg in multiple txts, but somehow it wouldn't break a word in half. It WOULD however; break sentences; which that's OK. My Treo 600 still does that. But the Treo 650 won't let me continue. I have to start a new txt message myself to continue the message.
