Exclamation S.O.S Please HELP! My Treo 650 problems

Hello,

This morning when I tried turning on the phone on my Treo 650 I got a message that said "Not enough power to activate phone"

1. The battery is fully charged (99%)
2. I even plugged it in with no luck
3. I perform several times a soft reset, but nothing
4. I even performed a Hard Reset with no luck either!

I finally took out the sim card and placed it on my old phone, it worked perfectly...

What is happenning with my Treo 650! All the other features work perfectly, camera, calendar, contacts, memos, tasks, etc, etc... the phone just won't go on, I get this message everytime I try turning it on....!

Please help!

Thank you very much!

Juan

You might try doing a zero out reset and completley restoring your treo to factory default. If that doesn't solve it you probably are experiencing a hardware failure and need to have it replaced.

Default Done! MP3

Well, sincerely I think never managed to do the reset, I even told my wife to help me but every time I tried a got the rainbow style window... Then I tried inserting again the sim card, for my surprise it connected with no problem!

Anyway it is working now.

I have two more questions...

I can't I play mp3 files? Does real player allows to play them? I saved a couple of songs (mp3 format) in my sim card but realplayer does not find them... why?

And finally, I have the HS820 Headset (bluetooth) from motorola, is there a way to activate voice dialing, without any additional software?? If so how do I configure it?

once again, thanks lot for the help given!

Hopefully you are not confusing "SIM" card with an "SD" (Secure Digital) card. You cannot save MP3's to a SIM card anyways but to answer your question, Real player will play your mp3 files. Make sure that are saving your mp3 files to the external memory card and Real should see them on the card and allow you to play them.
The Treo's bluetooth functionality does not support voice dialing in the Bluetooth profile. There are a few apps that will allow you to voice dial directly from the phone but not from a bt headset. As a matter of fact your treo's software disc that came with the phone has a trial app called Voice Dial by Voice Signals which when activated from the treo will allow you to say a name or number and it will automatically dial it.

Default Sd

oops! yes I meant SD card.
In fact, when I insert the SD into my laptop I see two folders, one named DCIM and the other one named PALM. I even saved my mp3 files (from itunes software) and saved it on both folders. I then inserted it on my treo and run realplayer, But a message that says "No playable songs found"
Is there any specific folder as to where I have to save this files?

Thanks again, and sorry for being such a pain!

Juan

Are you sure the files you are putting on the sd card are in fact mp3 files and not in another format?

You don't need to put them in the DCIM folder, that is where your jpegs reside. On my treo sd card I have an audio folder where I put all of my mp3 files and granted I don't use Real Player but Ptunes, if I launch Real Player it automatically sees the same mp3's that Ptunes sees and I can play them.

Yeah.. I figured it out... While on realplayer desktop I have to "burn" de mp3 file to the SD card.
Copying the file into the SD just won't work. It has to be done through Realplayer desktop.
Anyway millerhifi all your help has been just great! I really thank you for your patience and your advices it sure made the difference from other websites, were posts remained unanswered during days, weeks....

See ya!

Glad that I could help!

You know that if you have a card reader, you can create the files on your pc and save them to your desktop than copy them to your sd card using the reader.
