Default Screen dead = phone dead??

I managed to break the screen on my 650. Even though it's just the screen the phone won't make any calls either. Is that normal? The screen is shattered btw.

Sorry for the non response to your thread but most do sit in from of the computer and look at this one site.

You mentioned that it works with bluetooth. Can you answer or place calls with your keyboard? If you can't you have more than your screen broke.

Sorry if I sounded a little abrassive I was a little worried the phone might be dead lol. I thought I couldn't dial a call but it looks like everything functions as long as I use a bluetooth headset, without it though I don't hear anything through the speaker. I've yet to try a corded headset though to see if that works as well.

That may be your headphone jack or internal damage. If you have insurance or a warranty I would go that route before you buy parts. In this case where you have the screen and a sound problem I would get a quote from your carrier or a repair shop. (A few are on line)

I dropped my treo and sprint fixed it for $35.00. Speaker problem.

I agree with plunker. I'd go with the insurance or warranty option if available before paying out of pocket.

That's what I had wanted to do but unfortunately I wasn't allowed to insure it when I bought it from Cingular. I may contact them though to see how much they would charge to fix it. You said there are some online repair shops, any you could reccomend?
