 |  SD Card not working I purchased a Patriot Memory 2GB SD Card for my Treo 650 and it is not reading it. What am I doing wrong here? Is there a limit to what kind of SD cards the Treo can handle? |

| Hi: I believe the Treo's limit is 2gb, so that shouldn't be the problem. I have seen many threads regarding counterfeit cards as well as mentions of "off-brand" cards not working. I have never heard of Patriot cards, so I can't speak to the brand. Have you tried the card in a reader to see if it is recognized? Is it a card you have used in other devices? If it is a brand new card purchased to use in the Treo, at this point you can't be sure if it works so if you had another device that uses SD cards to test it, that would probably be a help. Wish I could be of more help, but I am sure others on this board will provide some excellent feedback. Good luck! Steve Quote:

 | Something else to check You've got to format the card on the Treo. Formatting elsewhere won't work. From your launcher screen, go to Card Info, hit the menu button and you'll see the option to format. Beyond that, a couple good points were made in the last post. Let us know how it works out.

  | I recently bought a 2.0 gig Sandisk. I couldn't get either one of my computers to read it, even though they both had SD card slots. They read my 512 meg card fine! I thought the card was defective . . . Turns out it was my computers. I bought a cheap card reader and all was right again. Good advice above though. . . Format on the Treo first if you have to . . If you format on your PC (it should already be formated) your Treo won't recognize it. If you format on your Treo, the PC should read it just fine . . At least mine does now through the card reader . . .
