    Default sd memory card

I recently upgraded my 600 to a 650 and i wanted to put my mp3s on it. i looked up how to do that and found out you need an SD memory card. my old hp digital camera had an SD 128 mb kingston memory card. i thought maybe it would work so i put it in my phone and hotsynced with my laptop. when i went to upload my mp3s it said i had to insert my memory card first. is the one i have not compatable? if it is, what am i doing wrong?

you need to format the card again. HP cameras format differently.

vanDOLL, I believe that realplayer will play wma files. One free alternative that will allow you to watch movies also is TCPMP. In addition to the TCPMP file, be sure that you download the wma and mp3 codecs. Also, you might want to check out ptunes! I love it because it has the ability to stream internet radio right to my Treo!!!

Finally, to convert all my CD's/WMA's to mp-3, I use audacity! Its a great free player. I don't have a link, but a google search should land you on their soundforge site . .

StillRockin gave you good advice. If you you start running out of space (like i did) i just upgraded to a larger SD card.
This is not a plugg for the company, but I purch. of Onsale.com numerous of times.
Although they are sometimes slow with the whole rebate thing, for the most part they deliver.
Currently they have a deal on 2G's sd cards for about $35.

Have you tried playing the songs on your card in RealPlayer? I am thinking that real player will play wma files along with mp3.

As far as audacity goes, you should be able to open a song on your computer in audacity. Since you really don't want to edit the song for ringtones, etc, simply export that file as an MP3. (the Lame codec you downloaded will allow you to do this) Once you have created the mp3 file, upload that to your Treo's card. Once on the card and in your Treo, you can launch it with realplayer, TCPMP with the mp3 codec (its free and almost everyone here seems to love it) or many other mp3 players for the Treo. Since you don't want to puchase ptunes, I would concentrate on getting them to play in realplayer on your Treo. Once you have them up and functioning there, exploring other players will be much easier since they will recognize the mp3's on your card . . Hope this helps! If you have any more problems, holler and someone here will try and help . .

the songs dont show up in my real player either.
