SDIO Socket Scanner Card with TREO 650

I purchased a socketscan SDIO card to use with my TREO 650 PalmOne ...i was able to download it on the PalmOne....however that is about as far as I can get it to work...the instructions that came with the scan card have not been very helpful nor is the PalmOne web site...I want to use the card to scan book ISBN numbers...can anybody help me

I did a little poking around for you. According to SocketCom's compatibility grid, the Treo 650 can use their Secure Digital Scan Card which is a different product than the SDIO Scan Card 3M which is not compatible with the Treo 650, and possibly the one you bought. Darn similar-looking though, aren't they?

A word of caution: the Treo 650 has very limited SDIO support. You'll definitely want to save your receipt if you buy the other card. Either way, the tech support you'd have to call would be Socket's, not Palm's.

thanks for the info...i do have the correct card according to the model number on the scan card...but after another two hours of playing with it...still cannot get it to work...ahhh what a pain...will see if i can get the folks at socket to help....jon

Hey Jon. Im in the same boat!! I've been messing with this for the past 2 days. Is there anyway I can get any help? The test demo works, but Im not able to activate the scanner in anyway.
