Sending .MAC e-mail on a Verizon 650

Hi all,

I just got a 650 from Verizon. I have a .Mac account (and run a Mac). I'm using VersaMail and don't have any trouble getting my mail, but i do have trouble sending. I've set it up to authenticate etc but i get an error that reads 535.5.7.0 authentication failed. I've double and triple checked my user name and password etc but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Try using Verizon's SMTP server for outgoing mail. This is from Palm's site:

• SMTP Server: smtp.vzwmail.net
• User name: [10-digit phone number]@vzwmail.net (6505551212@vzmail.net)
• Password:Your www.vtext.com password
