Short antenna
I don't know how many are aware of this or if it is okay to link to a thread on another forum, but I will give it a shot. I was browsing TreoCentral (gasp) and came across this thread asking about a shorter antenna for the 650. I commented I would like one and forgot about the thread. Bored and surfing the other day I recalled the idea and went back to take a look. Found that they are now being produced here. I ordered mine the Monday before Thanksgiving and just received mine today. Took literally 30 seconds to install and I can tell no noticeable difference in the reception. Tranforms the look of the device though and it fits in my pocket much better now. Just thought I would pass it along. Do with it what you will.

Wow. No one is interested? I love mine. Oh well. Just thought I would show it to the group. Did I do something taboo by posting this?

I use a side pouch to hold my treo with a skin on it. It is a little tight, the antenna is a great handle to pull the treo out.

I am the exact opposite. I keep the phone in my pocket with no skin. I do have a screen protector though. So the short antenna is a blessing for me.

I didn't think 30 bucks is too our of line. My antenna was loose anyways, probably from ridign around in my pocket. I figured I could replace the loose antenna, transform the look of the phone, and make it fit better in my pocket. I gladly paid the 40 dollars shipped for the antenna and the tool. The only issue I have is the fitment at the back of the antenna. There is a noticeable gap between the phone and the antenna. Luckily I got an e-mail yesterday about how to fix it.
