Default Should I buy Treo 650

Hi Folks!
Need a sincere advice.
Should I go for Unlocked GSM Treo 650 for $599 considering there is no built-in WI-FI, the reset problems I have been reading about.

I am not sure what other alternatives exist in the market.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If wifi is your need, the the 650 isnt thew ay to go. your best bet would be the Wizard or Universal. Problem is, I dont know any GSM carriers in the US that are carrying them. They also run Windows Mobile.

Devices include the iMate Jam, Qteck, and Universal models.

Now, if you dont want GSM, then you have a selection of Sprint's and VZW's devices; Sprint's allows for wifi and phone at the same time, while VZW devices do that only with a hack.

Its just that the Treo looks very solid device...I had checked the i-mate pda 2k....didnt quite like it....but yeah featurewise its much richer than tr
eo 650....
windows mobile is ok....i wud perfer Palm as I am tired of Windows OS...

I just feel if i shud go for $599 for treo, atleast the price shud have been less so i cud have got the Enfora WI-FI sled and added WI-FI to it..

I prefer PalmOS too. If the need is immediate, buy the 650 now, if not just wait a month and a half or so

Default Thanks again!

Right! I guess waiting for a month seems like a better option or else will go with the I-Mate which also look good after checking their features and stuff.
Thanks for your feedback!

Appreciate it!

Default enfora WiFi

Treo 650 is a very good device.. Now that I got the enfora WiFi.. it's a perfect device. The enfora is kinda bulky but it's really cool..

Cingular has branded an imate-kjam/Qtek 9100 . . . Well kind of . . They call it the Cingular 8125, and I have been told it will be available to Premier Customers 12/20/05, and on the public site 1/9/06. Under the hood, this is the identical phone to the iMate/Qtek. WM05, a 200mhz processor, WiFi, bluetooth, etc. . . . The prices quoted for this phone is considerable less than the iMate/Qtek models. Without Contract for $450 and with Two year contract and data plan $299. I really thought this was the phone for me, but reading about some the issues on other forums that people are having with these phones, have led me back to the Treo (If I can only win that one with the trip kit) Anyhow, beware that many are saying that the keyboards won't stay closed after one month of use, several are having WiFi issues, as well as several phone issues. Sofware incompatibilities, reset issues, (Hey, am I talking about WM05, or Palm??? )There is a lack of keys on the front of the phone, well, heck, how about a picture . . . .

This is not the other picture I wanted to share . . I was looking for one that had a guy's hand on it to show you the size of this phone. It is slightly shorter than the Treo 650, and slightly thicker. I know it looks huge in these pictures . . .

Also, I am told that the Stylus that comes with this unit is worthless. Its some sort of spring loaded stylus that expands when you remove it. Also, the mechanism for holding the stylus wears down and several have reported already losing theirs . . . Anyway, this is a GSM alternative, but from Qtek/iMate reports, please be aware that this phone probably has several issues . . . .
