Now, if you dont want GSM, then you have a selection of Sprint's and VZW's devices; Sprint's allows for wifi and phone at the same time, while VZW devices do that only with a hack. |
Cingular has branded an imate-kjam/Qtek 9100 . . . Well kind of . . They call it the Cingular 8125, and I have been told it will be available to Premier Customers 12/20/05, and on the public site 1/9/06. Under the hood, this is the identical phone to the iMate/Qtek. WM05, a 200mhz processor, WiFi, bluetooth, etc. . . . The prices quoted for this phone is considerable less than the iMate/Qtek models. Without Contract for $450 and with Two year contract and data plan $299. I really thought this was the phone for me, but reading about some the issues on other forums that people are having with these phones, have led me back to the Treo (If I can only win that one with the trip kit) Anyhow, beware that many are saying that the keyboards won't stay closed after one month of use, several are having WiFi issues, as well as several phone issues. Sofware incompatibilities, reset issues, (Hey, am I talking about WM05, or Palm???

)There is a lack of keys on the front of the phone, well, heck, how about a picture . . . .
