Simple question for Versamail and Gmail
I have set up Versamail so that it downloads my Gmail messages with no problem. And the Gmail messages are left on the server in my web-based Gmail inbox.
However, I also want to download those same messages when I get home and access Gmail through MS Outlook. Is there a way to configure this to happen?
Thanks -

Yes if versamail is set to leave them on the server it will work. Just set up outlook to check the e-mail and either leave them on the server or delete them. Which ever one you want to do.

I don't see any option in Versamail to tell it to leave them on the server. Anyway, they are already left on the server. Gmail just thinks that since I already downloaded them once (on the Treo), that the same message should not be downloaded again (on the PC). I am not sure there is a fix for that.
I am willing to purchase an email program such as Chatteremail if that would fix it.

In versamail under prefs, click on server and the option should be there. How do you know they are on the server if you can't get them??
I would think that versamail is pulling them off. Change the setting and I bet you will start getting them on your pc. I have my treo set up to work this way. If this does not work I would think it is contrlled by Gmail and not your email program.

Yes, the problem is because of how Gmail handles it. However, I have figured out the solution after reading a different thread (I don't remember if it was in this forum or a different one).
I now just have Versamail download the subject, not the whole email. If I decide based on the subject line that I want to d/l and read the rest of the email, I do so. Then I forward it to a different Gmail account which I will receive through Outlook on my PC.
If the subject line indicates that I don't really need to read it right away, I just leave it there. Next time I check email on my PC, the whole email comes in (even though the subject has already been downloaded on the Treo).
This system will work for me. Thanks for the suggestions.
