Pleae help!
My Treo 650 is the first Treo I have ever had (though I did have Palm pilots in the past.)
And the memory is so filled up even though I don't have that many applications.

I believe that is the reason that it is so slow to respond to turning on - and reacting sometimes to the buttons I press - there is a white screen that appears for about a 1/2 second between different applications - that feels like it takes forever to change apps...

Someone mentioned since I had a palm pilot in the past - I need to DE-install that software and then re-install...

but not sure if that is the answer, nor would I know where to begin...

Please help!

You just hotsynced everything from your old Palm onto the Treo? That may be why your Treo is so slow. You'll probably want to start from scratch.
Perform a hard reset on the Treo. Then rename the user folder on your PC before performing another Hotsync. When you perform your first Hotsync, you can create a "new" user with the same name if you like that username. This will restore your calendar, contacts, etc. Then, before you add any of your old programs, check with the vendor to make sure that you have the latest version AND that it's compatible with OS5. I'd recommend installing one app at a time, then doing some testing for problems before installing this next. This way, if you do have problems, it's fairly easy to narrow it down to the app that's being a problem child.
