I am new to the treo 650. When i recieve a call in the call log. Is there a way to just push dial and the phone will know to add a one to the front making it a long distance call?

Check under Dial Preferences in the Phone app. North American dialing will dial a 1 outside of your area code. You can also force the Treo to always dial a 1 before the area code.

I use sprint and they do not require you to place the "1" in front of the number. I guess maybe your carrier does....what is your carrier for future reference?

No carrier requires a 1 in front of the number. If you do use a 1 you will be charged long distance fees. For some reason it is it doesn't count towards your long distance in your plan.
