Hey everyone, I'm a student at Northeastern University and I'm taking a New Product Development class. The following is a quick survey that I my group has designed and it will take no longer than 5 minutes. I would really appreciate it.

    Section 1

A smartphone is any electronic handheld device that integrates the functionality of a mobile phone, personal digital assistant or other
information appliance. This is often achieved by adding telephone functions to an existing PDA or putting "smart" capabilities, such as
PDA functions, into a mobile phone.

The key feature of a smartphone is that one can install additional
applications to the device. The applications can be developed by the
manufacturer of the handheld device, by the operator or by any other
    third-party software developer.

I think you've been had. This sounds like an advertisement for a new BlackBerry stuck in the middle of the 'survey' :

"The new Blackberry GPS phone gives users the ability to pinpoint their exact location and obtain walking and driving directions to their destination in real time based on their current location."

In fact, everything after that statement seems to be an attempt to sell/advertise the BlackBerry.

If indeed it was, I've moderated the post and changed the email address to one of accounts here at ET. This way, I can protect the privacy of our members.

FWIW, I did find that to be a "curious" question.
