sms images

can i send a text message and attach a image from my treo to a phone that will receive them.
my gf has a camera phone (non-treo) and she can.

i found how to attach it to an email via treo, i just want to sms with, say a photo i captured from the camera phone.

ps, i did a search and came up with nothing, if this is a repost, show the link and close it down with my apologies.

As far as the Treo goes, yes, you can attach a photo to your message. But with Cingular, it will not go if you have not signed up for the Mulitimedia messaging service. I can't speak for T-mob/Verizon/Sprint/alltel and how they have theirs set up.
