    Mike-
The memory issues will only affect a small number of "power users" and Palm has offered free 128MB cards to those who are affected. I do not own the 650, but I think the Bluetooth issues you alude to are due to the Bluetooth accessories and not necessarily the Treo. I've read where people are having no problems with Bluetooth. Perhaps, someone who is using Bluetooth can chime in with their success stories. I have the 600 and the phone performance is solid. However, since it's a "smartphone", any software issues affect not only your Palm device but your phone. I use my handsfree set 95% of the time and haven't had any complaints. Using the phone without any headset is not as good as a small Moto phone. It's a trade off that I'll take any day. I couldn't live without my Treo. It's not perfect. No device is...but the Treo's capabilities still amaze me. I am with Cingular and wouldn't necessarily wait if you are not in contract. I actually prefer Sprint which I had with my Treo 300. Good luck with your decision.

    Question

Thanks for your input Chris. I'd like to hear more success stories before I upgrade to a Treo 650 though. Can I hear froam anymore 650 Treo users?

    Thanks a bunch,

    Mike

Default I've got the 650 and love it

Well I can honestly say I love my Treo 650... I upgraded from the 300 and have been hounding my wife since the introduction. I have had mine for approximately 1 month and have very little to say bad about it. The phone works great, although I sometimes have problems with the corded headset with people that have deep voices, I have not dabbled in the Bluetooth stuff yet, however I know that it works because it detected another bluetooth device in the room. Never got to exchange any data though  I like the new calendar where I can code in color my different items personal, business, family etc. and the screen is incredible. Even my wife when she saw mine was disappointed that she was being upgraded to the 300..A local CompUSA had a sale on 1GB SD memory so I got that for about $60 which is a bargin and I haven't had any sluggishness etc. I can't imagine what kind of person you have to be to be a "Power User". I did go and get my free 128M SD memory from PalmOne though.. Call it a bonus. If you have had your previous device for over 18 month consecutively you can get a $150 rebate on your upgrade to the 650 if you sign up for another 2 year agreement. Frankly if you spend $600 on a phone you will be using it for 2 years anyway. Why not go for it and get $150 off..(this is Sprint not sure of the others). There are applications out there as well for this device which are really cool, unfortunately they feel if you can afford a phone this expensive, you can afford pricey software to go along with it... Thats really unfortunate, but I will live.. I highly recommend this device, I love mine, everything from getting my email, to sending txt msgs, to talking on the phone and using the browser... I love it.. Oh yes don't forget the camera. Yes not the greatest images in the world but handy to have around. I am sure that they are working on making this better.
    Hope this answers some questions.

With the two week trial/return guarantee, I guess I'll try it. Nothing to lose except maybe my sanity. Has anyone had any problems with the return policy with Sprint or other carriers?

I'd recommend a data package. I have Cingular and pay $19.95 for unlimited internet. Factor this into your carrier decision if you decide to get a Treo. Unlimited internet allows you to browse the web, get auto email push, streaming audio and not worry about minutes.

    Hope this helps.

When browsing the web, can I visit any website? I am considering buying the new Cingular Treo 650 once its available. Do you really get all of that for $19.95?

Hey, BigTrouble....go with the Treo 650.....I had almost all of the same concerns as you....made the leap and no regrets...I'd also use Palm's calandar and contacts.....syncs easy and is as good as, if not better, than Outlook, which I use on the PC.

So far, I'm really impresses with the Treo.
