Default Sound cutting off for caller when speaking

Does anyone have this problem? When speaking to someone on the phone, they say that while listening to me, if they say something, it cuts off my voice for a second. Almost like it isnt in full duplex.
I did a test, counting to 10. While counting, if the other caller says something during the count, part of the count is not heard by the other caller.
This apperently is very annoying to people talking to me.

I think this just might be regular carrier specific issues. It happens whenever I talk to someone from even my home phone and they are on a cell phone. Sometimes part of their words are cut off.
