Step by Step
Ok here we go.. I am kinda aggravated about this... I want to put MP3's on my phone. I thought it would be an easy process. I would just like to use the Real Player that comes on the Treo. Maybe im not too bright on the whole thing but anyway. I have itunes on my computer and I just took a song from there put it on my desktop and then tried copying it to my SD card then putting the card back in my phone (im using a card reader) but it wont show up.. Do I have to change the format or anything for the song? I have no clue.. can someone break it down in layman's terms? step by step on how to do this!!
I only have a 256M card and 214M available
please advise!

Here's how:
Make sure your song is an MP3.
Put your SD card in the reader
Put your MP3 song into the 'Audio' folder of your SD card. (You should have Palm, DCIM (pics) and Audio (music) folders.
Then put the card back into your Treo.
It should show your song there.

...also make sure the song is not an AAC encoded mp3 as are sold on the itunes store otherwise the palm will not read them due to the DRM embeded within the file. If this is the case you can recorde them to cd and then re-rip them into itunes to get rid of the drm.

Try Allofmp3.com -- high quality MP3's at great prices. I still use iTunes quite a bit for convenience, but you can't beat the price of that site. I used to be a Limewire fan, but all the titles are screwy and you cannot count on the quality of the file.
