I have a treo 650 and i find the OS to be very complicated and laden with options and packages, that i don't need.

i know that silver screen makes an os enhancer.

has anyone made something that simplifies the os or allows you to delete the junk?

There's a few options:

In Applications Menu -> Delete is how you delete the things that can be deleted.

You can create a category in Applications, name it something like "Unused" and then change the category (Menu -> Category) of the items you prefer not to see to the new Unused one. Then they should at least be out of the way.

Or, you can search for how to have a new ROM made.

This is a great suggestion. Just categorize your "favorites". That will minimize the number of apps that you see.

And there is an application called "Invisible" which can hide those 'unused' items. Another reset will bring them back.
