surfing the internet

ok this is my first time posting here, i recently got a treo 650 and so far so good, except for the random resets, but no biggie there. But I do have one question/problem, if i am surfing the internet, while the page is downloading the screen goes blank(screensaver?) Now here is my problem, the only way to get the screen back is too press the green phone button, i then get the keyguard "press center button to unlock" message and when i do it defaults back to the phone screen, so when i return to the web it has to totally reload the page.

Is there anyway to adjust the phone to prevent this from happening ?

In the Prefs app, from clicking the Home button, go to Power and then select a longer time for the screen to turn off. Also, instead of hitting the green button, hit the red button. You will still have the keyguard come up (unless you go under the same Prefs app, and then Keyguard and change the settings there) but be in the application that you were last in.
