Sync Issue - Has anyone dealt with this?

Happy New Year Everyone!

I have been able to Sync with no problems for weeks. No issues. Until yesterday when I added dates to my Outlook on my PC I sync with. The Treo says it is Sync'ing but the dates do not transfer. If I add one new one to either side...it will Sync. But it will not allow the previous ones to go thru. HELP! These dates included Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc. and it took me about 30 minutes to add them all. Has anyone dealt with this? BTW, I have tried every kind of reset posiible (even a hard / total memory clear) ...

If the newer info is on OL and needing to go to your palm try this:

In your system tray, click the HotSync Icon and go to Custom;
You will see the conduit for syncing your calendar entries
Click on that and you should get another popup window
Set it to desktop overwrites handheld. Dont check the checkbox that says make it default.
Click ok
Click ok again
Sync.

You new entries should be in your Treo from OL now.

I tried it...did not work. I tried it again w/setting it as the default...nada. I even did a hard reset / total clear and did it again...nothing???

Are you trying to sync a subflder? That would be one reason why I would see it not syncing, other than that I am stumped.

No...just plain jane Outlook Calender dates that are on my PC but will not show up on the Treo. I have tried over and over with different steps and / or variations...

Wow...this sucks! I am afraid to rely on this thing to keep my professional life organized!

Anyone else that could help me? I would be extremely happy if anyone had an answer...

Ok...I figured out it was a problem with all of the Reoccuring Events labeled "Birthdays". ??? I had to go into every Birthday & cancel any reoccurences, save & exit, and then go back in and set the yearly reoccurences again. It would then recognize them and Sync them to the Treo...Not sure why they conflicted but they did. :mad: What a pain...Oh well, I think I will add any appointments slowly next time and not all at once...

Glad that you were able to figure that out. Sure nuff had me stumped. I shall be putting that in my list of things to look for next time I hear about a similar issue.

I'm not sure I understand. I too cannot sync all of a sudden. Tried many reboots too. When I sync everything says OK in the log...but nothing syncs from desktop to handheld.

Are you saying that some reoccuring appointments caused everything to not load? Or was it just the reoccuring appointments that did not load?

Contacts also will not load...I'm getting nothing. Verizon Treo.

Hey Stillrockin...yeah it was odd. Everything else seems to be OK, but I have been really watching every sync to make sure. It's all trial & error at first I guess...I do hope this thread might be able to help another stumped soul like myself
