Default Sync treo

I have borrowed a TREO 650 and used it for a few weeks. I can sync the TREo without problems everytime I push the SYNC button, until I turn my computer off. Once I turn the computer off I have to do a soft Sync and reset the TREO 650 by holding the phone button and removing the battery. Any suggestions?

I assume you're not trying to sync the Treo to a computer that's off. Do you mean the computer sleeps & then you can't sync when it wakes, or do you mean the computer is shut down and you can't sync after you restart?
What happens when you try? Does it connect at all? What connection method are you using (USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.)? Do any error messages appear, either on the Treo or on your computer? Mac or Windows? If Mac, Palm Desktop or Missing Sync?

I guess that was confusing,

Once I turn my computor off and restart it, say the next day, the treo will connect, (make the noise as if connected) however in does not sync The sync process never starts.

I am using the USB cable to connect to the computor
OS is windows XP, I sync Outlook, contacts, taks, etc.

I don't mean to sound flip, but see what happens if you don't turn your computer off. I turned on my iMac a year ago when I got it and haven't turned it off yet. Unfortunately, I'm not Windows-savvy enough to help you debug. I can tell you that if you heard the three-note connection sound from the Treo, the problem is likely on the PC side. I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling Palm Desktop (and following precise instructions for both).

Are you hearing a noise when connecting the cable, or when you initiate the hotsync?

Default sync proplems

I do hear the bink bink (best way to descripe it) and a message saying it is establishing a conection with the computor, and after a 60 seconds I recieve a message stating the a connection could ne be established. I have reinstalled the PAlm one software. This did not solve the problem

I can sync numberous time without a problem until I restart my computer. Once I restart ( say the next day) and my computor is up and running. I get the same message when I try to sync.
