Default Sync with two computers?

I'd like to use the treo to sync both my laptop and home desktop computers. Can this be done? I used to do that with Pocket PCs, but I am new to Palm and wonder if anyone has done it.

Steve

Default 2 comps

Hello Steve,

This is Kevin from Palm. Many people like to keep two computers (such as home and work) in synch with their device and yes, it can be done. The Palm Knowledge Library article "Synchronize with multiple handhelds or with multiple desktop computers" provides useful information to help you accomplish this.

Sincerely
Kevin

You'll need 2 important programs before you start;

1. A good backup program
2. Undupe, in case your PIM gets accidentally duplicated

Default sync w/2 computers and loose data

This is really old, hope there is a reply...
I have a tungsten T5 and sync with 2 laptops, one @work and one@home. Last time after syncing, I found lots of data/contacts missing. I have both configured to sync data, but it removed some data from both. Any ideas?
Or how and where can I restore the old data>

thanks

I have successfully syncd my T5 with two laptops, both set to syncronize data, but the last time I syncd I lost lost of contact info.

I need to know if and how to get it back.

Did you lose it on all three devices (two pc and handheld)? If all three have lost the coontacts you are out of luck unless you have a back up on your handheld.

If you have it on one of the devices set it up to override the other two and you should get them back. If on a pc on into palm desktop, hot sync manager, custom and set it to which ever device has contacts to override and you should get them back.

Yup, lost it on all, even though both are configured to synchronize. Nope, no backup. Have one now and good ole fashioned hard copy.

sometimes I have problems with syncing info instead of overriding. I have my handheld to override one pc (home) in case of problems.
