We mention card reader. The one I have that attaches to my Win XP Toshiba works well. I discovered a couple of days ago that my Windows Vista laptop does not read SD cards in its card slot - no driver available. A search at CompUSA also shows no readers for Vista. Bummer.

I'm still confused, as my dad has this same phone, and he can transfer large files easily with Palm Desktop with no problem at all, and we're both at a loss as to why mine won't do what it's supposed to do. I tried using Palm File Manager, but every program I've tried freezes up my phone halfway through transfer. I have no clue.

I would back up your files (if you have a backup program) then do a hard reset and see if that corrects it. I would think it is something corrupted on your palm or palm desktop.

The hard reset accomplished nothing. Any more ideas before I just take it back to the store?

It is possible that your palm desktop is what is corrupted? You might uninstall it and reinstall it. Some have problems once this is done with finding the old user.

Well, I took the phone back, got a new one and bought a new SD card just in case it was the card. Everything's working fine now, thanks for the help anyways!
