Default Synchronization Software

Install your software disc on your computer...The software will basically guide you thru the process. Connect your PC (USB) with your Treo and hit the button to start syncing. My Windows XP helped me install it by recognizing the Treo right away. One thing I found is to make sure that the Hot Sync Manager blue & red "circle" is always present in the lower right hand corner of your PC screen before starting the sync. If it is not there...go to the Start Menu...select the newly installed Palm software icon and then select the the "Hot Sync" manager option. It will then just start the manager but only show the symbol in the bottom right hand corner. I tried to Sync about 5 times unsuccessfully before I figured it out. Let me know if this helps...

Well, it used to be, when you installed your palm desktop software, that you had an option to sync with Microsoft outlook. All I did was check that option, and it would grab, mail/calendar/todo etc. . . .

Since mine is broken, I uninstalled the software, so I can't look right now . .

By the way, Congrats!!!! Let us know how you like it!

Hey Stillrockin...the Palm software is still the same (I installed my Thursday) and it gave me the option to choose to sync with the Plam software or Outlook / both. I just checked the box for the Outlook / both option.
