Default Target icon on the main screen?

I bought a Treo650 today, there is a little target/bullseye type icon on my main screen above the time, apparently this means that the location is on for 911 calls.

Assuming this is correct, how do I turn it off? In the phone preferences tapping the "Location On" / "911 Only" boxes doesn't do anything....

    Thanks.

    Hi:

In the phone preferences, tapping the location privacy (Box is checked) stops the network from finding you for unnamed "network services" (in my case Sprint). You will see the bullseye has a red X through it.

Note that you cannot disable the 911 service to my knowledge.

    Good Luck,
