    Default Bluetooth and Audi

Issue: Bluetooth connection causes Treo to reboot.

Background: I have an Audi with Bluetooth prep. My previous cell phone worked flawlessly. My Treo worked flawlessly for a while, but recently everytime I get in the car and establish a BT connection, a minute or so later I get a "BT Off" message and the Treo reboots. Then, BT kicks in again and one minute later... reboot.

Issue: Bluetooth uses old speed dial profiles.

Background: During the one minute BT is connected, before the reboot, if I browse my phonebook (which is supposed to be my speed dials, and it is when working correctly) it SOMEHOW has OLD speed dial profiles.... I can't figure out at all how this is possible. (i.e. I used to have Andy's Cell and Ruth's Cell but then changed the speed dials to read Andy (M) and Ruth (M) but the BT display will read Andy's Cell while that is not entered in my phone.)

Issue: Bluetooth and Voicemail hate me.

Background: "Voicemail" is one of my speed dials, and when accessed on the phone, it enters my access code automatically (I don't have top secret voicemails....) but when I use BT to call voicemail, it won't dial those "Extra Digits" (on option in the Treo menu.)

Also, "Voicemail" is how it is entered on the speed dials, but on the BT screen, it shows up as "poicemail" ... Any idea why?

Issue: Bluetooth makes my ears bleed.

Background: Lastly, when using my previous phone, I would select a phone number from the steering wheel and click select and it would say "Dialing..." and then start ringing. With the Treo though, it says "Dialing..." and then there is a loud and high pitched 'beeeeeeep' then the ringing. Any thoughts on why? Just the way the Treo handles BT?

Thank you all in advance for your thought and advice.

From what I've read about the BT on the Treo is that it isn't compatible with all BT devices, therefore it may cause some issues when in use. Just a thought. I don't really know since I don't have an Audi and don't use BT devices much (I have a headset and that is the extent of my BT experience)

This may be the case, but my problem with the whole situation is Audi and PalmOne released a statement about Audi and the Treo 650 working great together!

Make sure that you have the latest firmware update for your phone as many of the updates have inculded fixes to BT issues.
