 |  Third Treo 650 w/ problems...help... Hey everyone, I have a situation and I really need some help... I have tried the Treo 650 2 times already and I decided to give it another shot now that some time has gone by...thinking hopefully most problems had been fixed. Well, to my suprise I am having the SAME exact problem I was before. This is only the second day with my new Treo and when I went to bed last night it was working fine, then I wake up this morning and the radio (wireless) is turned off. So I try to turn the radio back on and reset....try again...reset....again....reset... Nothing I can do will fix the problem except doing a hard reset, and even without installing additional software after a few hours the problem starts again and I have to do another hard reset...this is driving me nuts and it is why I hate the Treo...I really want to like it but this is its last chance. I cannot figure it out and Palm doesn't know anything. And I swapped my SIM card 3 times, so that can't be it either. The program Crash Pro was saying something about "phone 1.0" but I don't remember exactly as I had to do a hard reset... Thanks for any and all help! |

| I am not aware of this ever being a problem... so with a totally blank treo it still does this? Are the phones from PalmOne...... I think you might want to try a Firmware update.... What F/W do you have...... |

| There isn't a firmware update as this is a Cingular Treo... It doesn't happen as frequent without any other software loaded, but it has happened... I installed Crash Pro and got this error message: "Crash was caused by error "DataMgr.c, Line:7420, Invalid uniqueID passed" while running "Phone 1.0". Any ideas? |

| same problem! i have the Cingular Treo 650 and have the exact same problem. it resets itself all the time. usually, i've noticed, it's when i get a voicemail. but not always. and the error is the same as yours. i'm so sick of this crap. someone please help. |

| You can update a cingular treo I have just done it..... Over at MTDN there are plenty who have done it successfully.... Mine was locked and branded 1.04 FW 1.06 SW and now after about 1 hour I have 1.28 FW and 1.13 SW Just thought it might fix some of the problems.... |

| The update if for the unlocked but once you have 1.23 FW installed you can run tokenwriter which tricks your phone into thinking its unlocked then install the 1.28....mine is working great and i got almost 5 Mb. of RAM back after installing it. I am not sure what is the cause of your problem but this update should reset all those files associated with the problem.... I mean it does re-write over the installed FW and SW on the phone so it might do the trick and free up some memory to boot...... Shoot me another Post if you want a one on one run through of the process... I had someone help me out the same way and it went off without a hitch! |
