    Default Tom Tom Navigator Maps

I realize this is a tom tom issue, but their forums are no help.

I have multiple maps installed on my memory card.

Is it possible to plan a route from one map to another? If I was located within the midwest map and wanted to travel to somewhere in the missouri map, is it possible to have it all one route.

Do I really need to get within the maps area to use it?

    Any help is appreciated.

You might do a search here for TomTom. I don't have it, but read a post somewhere here about a user going accross state lines and there was something about doing regions instead of states. (custom??)

I posted a question on TomTom's site specifically asking this question. Here is what they said..

Customer01/06/2006 11:56 AM If I want to travel from New Orleans, LA to Miami, FL, is there a way to put that destination in TomTom before I leave N.O.? There aren't any maps with FL and LA packaged together, so I'm not sure if it can be done. Thanks.

    Dear Mr ****,

You can install the Major Roads of America map. You can plan a cross-country route and then switch over to the appropriate map when you arrive there.

    Kind Regards,

That's awesome. I didn't realize that was an option. Thanks for posting that, rouxster!
