I have a Tomtom 510 and was told by the company that there are two requirements; must have a compatible phone, which Treo isn't, and must be on their compatible network which is AT&T/Cingular only. Our family uses Verizon and Sprint..neither is compatible!!

Hi,no problem pairing the pair here,go to bluetooth, add device, performed trusted pair and inserted the pass key for handheld(no.marked on the gps unit), start tomtom and handheld will search for bluetooth device.

Default TomTom 510 and Treo 650 incompatible

Thanks for the reply, but this was the method used and although the TomTom device shows up in the Trusted device list to add, it will not actually accept the device, it fails every time. This prompted me to contact TomTom and ask the questions. As my post indicates, the company itself said that the 510 unit requires the compatible cell phone of which Treo isn't, and the correct service provider of which they told me ONLY AT&T/Cingular were available networks. This made me infuriated and all the manager could tell me was that was all that was available at that time - might change in future but wouldn't commit. Again, this came directly from management at TomTom.

Default TomTom One and Treo 650 pairing issue

Gee, I thought minimally the TomTom One was bluetooth compatible at least for use as a handsfree through the unit. As my post indicated, mine was the TomTom 510, which I love, but it will not pair with the Treo 650 no matter what I do. It was confirmed by a manager at TomTom that it isn't compatible based on the service provider (ours is either Verizon or Sprint) PLUS the unit being the 510. Basically, told "too bad"...Got me VERY angry since the box claimed it would work!! I need the unit for Traffic/Weather updates using TomTom Home, no deal doesn't work nor even as a handsfree device - that's what through me over the ledge! Hope you have better luck.
