Default tomtom I made a mistake

Ok guys, I know this is my fault. I bought a tomtom brand new in the box off a ebay seller, got everything and it was brand new sealed. the problem I found is that they told me it will work w/ the 650 b/c it's a palm but it's for a palm tungsten. I'm waiting for them to reply back.

Is it possible to use the tomtom by just using the SW? do I really need the part that goes on the dash board? isn't that what tells the software that i'm turning etc?. also just incase I can't get a refund on this, can I just get that part that I need. I checked tomtom site and all I see is a wireless GPS not the part that I see like from this site that the 650 slides into.

I'm not an expert on this, but TomTom should work with any bluetooth GPS reciever. You can pick one up on Ebay for around $50 including shipping.

You might also want to look here to see if you can get an adapter cable.
