TomTom Navigator on my Treo 650. The screen keeps going dark!
When I first installed TomTom, the screen worked perfectly meaning it would stay lit and bright while I was navigating with the software. Now, for some reason, the screen dims after 15-20 seconds and then a little while later goes completely dark. Is there a setting in tomtom or on the phone that I need to check to make sure this doesn't happen?

Installed any new apps lately? This sounds more like a conflict than a setting in TomTom unless you manually changed something lately

The only think i can think of is that I did a trial version of Mapopolis recently. Maybe I need to re-install TomTom? I don't know.

I think that might be a possibility. Uninstall Mapopolis, including its saved preferences. Uninstall then re-install TomTom and let us know if it resolves the issue.

I agree with Lulu... this is not typical behavior for the TomTom application.

Think I got it fixed.
Thanks for your help guys. I finally got around to re-installing the software and took it for a test drive last night. Seems to be fixed.

Yea, the guys at Mapopolis assured me there would be no problem doing the trial version of their software. Now the guys there are great, but I've learned once again to be careful what you put on any software device.
I'm kind of excited about the new Treo 700 because now I can use the navigation software I used to use, iGuidance. It was great software but doesn't run on the Palm platform.

Try alawaysOn 1.2 it prevents the screen from going dark.
I have the same issue with tomtom 5.12
