Touchscreen died! Well my touch screen just died on Saturday! I called Sprint and they had me do a soft and then a hard reset. After the hard reset I could no longer use my phone because it forces you to use the touch screen to calibrate it after a hard reset. They told me to call the Sprint store that I purchased the phone at for a replacement. My phone was 30-40 days old. I called the Sprint store and they told me they could not help me because I did not purchase an extended warranty from them, wow what great customer service! They said for a $55.00 charge they could fix/replace it. They informed me that I would have to call Palm to get it repaired. I then called Sprint and they are going to send me a replacement and a mail kit to send my old phone back. Not a big deal, but was really surprised how the Sprint store where I purchased the phone wanted $55.00 to fix/replace a phone under warranty. I asked the store if Sprint could help me. They told me that they would tell me the same thing. Well they are incorrect since I am getting a new phone (well they said new, not a referb) from Sprint. I guess Sprint (billing) and the Sprint corporate stores are not on the same page. Chad |
