    Default Trade a Cingular Treo 650 for an Unlocked Treo 650

    I've been given a Cingular Treo 650 but cannot get Cingular in my area -- so need an unlocked one. This 650 has been used for a few months but is in perfect condition.

    Default Replacing 600 -- sell outright?

    Have been pricing a replacement for my Treo 600.
    Unlocked phones are much more expensive (according to Palm).
    Since it is of no use to you, would you consider an outright sale?

    Why not just unlock it. It's easy. Call Cingular customer care and tell them you travel overseas and need it unlocked. No problem.
    Or there are tons of places that will unlock it for you for around $15-$30.
    Check out eBay.
    Wonder why people are claiming they are more expensive.

    Shady - can you be more specific about "places that will unlock it for you for around $15-$30"?? I am new to smartphones so have no clue...
    I am not a Cingular customer so they want nothing to do with me.
    The phone was given to me as the previous owner changed to a Blackberry.
