Default treo 650 freezes after 10min

Hi,my name is phillip,living in holland.I have a big problem with my treo 650.
When the phone is in not being used it wil freeze up after 10 minutes or much later.To get it up and running again i have to preform a reset by pushing the little button next to the battery.The phone is completly turned off and wil not respond to and touch of a start up before it is reset.I have also done the hard reset but this didnot help the problem is the same.The software is version 1.209-ena ,firmware 01.71(a new phone)it has been replaced by the local dealer(warranty).Also a new batteryhas been placed.
Is there anyone here who knows of this problem and what to do about it.
Im getting desperate only because this happend on my old treo 650 and now again on the new one(i must say the new phone has not been sync or used yet)
Please can someone help me

Well, I had the exact same problem. Is it freezing for no reason? The screen is black and won't "wake up"? I got this with a brand new phone with no software on it...but with the best upgrades. I have Cingular, and they just sent me a replacement phone. No type of reset would help, I just had a bad phone. You might have a bad one too.

If you had synced the new Treo, it could be a software issue, but this does sound like a hardware problem.

Well thanks guys for thinking with me.
I called the treo dealer in holland today and the things i heard from them today was allot of b.....t.
They said that i syncd my treo with a bad file (treo was not sycnd),i must preform a hard reset then the problem is gone(hard reset done and it still shuts down),new software from the treo site dowloaden(its a new phone 1 week old) .............anyway thet could not help me the only answer i got was send it to us its a warranty question and we will let you know what the problem was.
Now i have taken the phone to my dealer and said to him fix it or throw the thing away and i want a replacement phone but not a treo..................
Now i wait till they come up with a good and reasonable explanation for my problem.When i get it back i will post it on here to let you know what the problem was and if i still am a treo owner

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your treo. Phillip, I would take your treo to the dealer (if possible in Holland) and do the hard reset with him and set your phone up together. At least when it locks up you will have a dealer to confirm that your new treo does not work with a clean install on it.

pluker,
thats exactly what i did today......no sync and no additional software installed.He also did a hard reset without any third party additions and the treo just frooze up after ten minutes.I could not make myself more clearer than that.........
One phone that doenst work ok that i can live with, but another that has just been brought out of a box(still sealed) i have my doubts
And then the people from palm not knowing what the problem could be......yeh they sent me a email with all the instructions on how to reset warm and hard but nothing works

Well here i am with some bad news.
Im am now the owner of my fifth treo....yes my fifth treo and the last one.
After several had mechanics looked at my phone(s) they decided to replace it but not with another treo 650.This weekend i am getting a new phone and will never purchas another troe in my life.
If one phone goes bad okay that i can understand but if 5 phones are all but nothing ...no thanks.Nobody could gie me a good reason why all my phone are not operating correctly.The last phone worked but could not get the tomtom up and running and again no one knows why.
Even with a hard reset and no sync(just a brandnew phone) nothing worked as it should.
Be carefull if you buy a 650 cause you might be driving to the shops to many times for a new phone
