    Default Treo 650 headset problems

Everthing was great with the phone, then I decided to use the headset that came with the treo and the problems started. Now I can't hear or speak to people unless the headset is in place. I'm at wits end. Pls help.

It's a common issue with the 650. Your headset jack is defective.

I believe a program volume care may have a fix for this....the contacts in the jack are stuck most likely. You might try and move the headphone around inside to see if they will come loose.

Usually you can tell if they open when you get your speaker phone icon back on the phone. If you get it fixed use bluetooth from now on.

    Default Headset problem

I agree with the last reply to try volume care from gotreosoftware.com. It might work areound the issue. The software thinks that a headset is plugged in all the time. I have heard of many solutions to the problem but noe are 100 percent effective. It is a defective headset jack and sometimes you can put in and take out the headset many time and it will release. It has always been a problem with the 650s and no one should ever use a plug in headset with them.
