Default Treo 650 looping Help (starts looping when I press the text message key)

Hey I've read a few posts on the looping(constant reseting) issues, I can get my 650 to get out of the loop, but as soon as I press the messages key it goes right back into it. Any suggestion? Any help would be good.

    Thanks

You probably have a corrupt message data file. I am not sure the names of the files to delete but a search here may give the answer. You will need a file manager program like filez to remove the file.

If you have a backup program you can run it and it should clear your problem if the backup was created before the file was corrupted.

Or you can do a hard reset (lose programs) to clear everything off. You then can sync back your info from your pc. Be sure to have pc override handheld or you could lose all data. That is if you have synced before.

good news I would get a backup program before you might add programs that you could lose with the hard reset.

And remember that if the corrupted file was backed up as a part of normal syncing the next time you sync you may wind up restoring the corrupted file.
