Treo 650 restarting randomly.

So, I really love my treo, probably my favorite phone I've ever owned. The only problem is, it restarts randomly. Usually when I recieve a text, and if it restarts when I recieve the text I do not get the text. This is really very annoying, if I'm having a conversation with someone and my phone keeps restarting every third message it annoys me because it takes a minute to restart, and it annoys the person I'm conversing with because they have to keep resending everything I don't get.

I've tried all types of restarts and everything, I don't have any apps for it, so I know it isn't that. I really have no idea what else to try to do to fix it. I've been looking around online for a solution but nobody else seems to have this problem. Any thoughts?

Have you bought it brand new or is a used one? Locked or unlocked (look on top of screen, if unlocked its printed palm () treo, if locked to cingular, for example, its printed cingular () treo)? Witch version of ROM and firmware?

If it's an used one, there is a good chance of it heaving a custom ROM missing the MMS files (the program that palm os uses for recieving sms and mms), and in this case, search for the title of this reply and you'll find a post from me somewhere else)

If brand new, its dammaged, sent it back (if you still heaving problems) for exange.

You may also, on the phone app. dial #*377 SEND (the green phone) and see the error code. if its fatal exeption on unknow app, there's a good chance on ether new dammaged (some users reported this) or used ROM missing files (in this case i've found grouped info nowhere else).
