When I type in PCS Vision as the service name, enter in my @Sprintpcs.com and password, it still won't work. What should it say for "connection" n that Network screen?

when you create a new service name I think you just save it and then it should appear in the pull down box. That is when you choose it and enter your Sprint username and password. I have to caution here, that you use the EXACT username that is on your account for your PCS Vision account. If the person at Sprint changed your PCS Vision account just yesterday or today, it would have created a new username. I would suggest that you log onto sprint.com and look at your account online. There is a place to look at the info for your PCS Vision account to see what your username (it will be a @sprintpcs.com email address) is and you can change the password there. When I was setting up my network on my phone, somehow a new account was created and I had a brand new username which I had to use in my phone. Also be sure that you use all lower case letters when entering that username on your phone.

That's actually a very good question, and yes, it's a Sprint Treo.

I just checked my Network screen again and since I am using the service called PCS Vision, I don't have a Connection pull-down. But I do have a service called PCS Vision Copy and if I chose that I do get a Connection pull-down and it is set for High Speed Wireless. But again, I don't use the "Copy" one, and have just deleted that service from my screen.

Have you gone onto the sprint.com website to check if your Vision username has been changed to a new one?

Mine is set to:

service PCS VISION COPY
connection High speed wireless

Just saw Dollfaces post so either one should work. I do think that you will need to get sprint on the line again to work this out. When they helped me there was not a four hour wait. The tech told me what to change and I got on the web. If they have corrected your account another call should be able to get it going. Keep us updated no matter what you find out.

Dollface our you in prefs, network??? I do not have a new button. Maybe I am in the wrong place...

Yes, Preferences - Network; at the top of that screen in the left corner it should say Preferences, click that and you get choices of Service, Edit and Options.

Would anything change after I hotsync for the first time? Or is this purely a "phone" problem unrelated to any Palm issues?
