Treo 650 sync with Outlook

I am trying to Sync my treo 650 (at&t) with the calander in outlook 2007 I am running XP Pro SP2 . I enter an appt on pc .... (outlook) and hotsync and will not migrate to Treo. I am sync'n wit both palm desktop and outlook. I hope this is not another "have to buy a 3rd party app to get basic functionallity.

On the palm site there should be an update for palm desktop to sync with outlook 2007

There is an update available for Sync with outlook 2007. It is available at the Palm website
