He bought a Treo that did not work from someone for $40. The screen will power on, and show the Palm logo on this phone, but will not boot. He took this phone appart and pulled the screen out (using the video that is bouncing around as directions), opened his phone, pulled out his screen and replaced it with the other screen he had tested. It did not light up at all. He then opened his phone back up, put his old cracked screen back in and his old screen worked fine. He tried this 3 times and could not get the other screen to work. He said it seems as if the ribbon on the replacement screen is smaller than the ribbon that is attached to the screen from his current phone. Do you know if the screens are different from one Treo 650 generation to another?? These are both Verizon Treo 650s. I have searched around the internet and have not found any variations for Treo 650 screens. It is very strange.
Thanks for your response, I was starting to think my post was invisible.
