    Question Treo 650 Wifi

I've read a number of things about the Treo 650, but I haven't seen WiFi listed among the features. Is it going to be on the Treo 650 or will I be waiting for the Treo 700.

It would be ulta-cool to hang out at my local Starbuck's and surf via my Treo using WiFi. Or my living room? I wonder how fast it would be if it were to become a reality?

I'd be tickled, if PalmOne made the SD slot a strong enough SDIO to support their new WiFi card or, better yet, the Sandisk WiFi + Memory card.

    Best,

    Default Likely not

Heard that the bluetooth and the cell signals interfere... likely due to close range of antennas in the case.. who knows for real

I know that now from the press conference reporting but can't under stand how HP can do it with the iPAQ 6315 PPC Phone Edition and Palm can't seem to. I think 'Cobalt' will have the capability but, clearly, POS 5.4 doesn't. Maybe they'll get it right in the Treo 700 (If ever...)

At the Treo Roadshow in Chicago, palmOne said there is enough power to run a wi-fi card, and that there are developers independently working on drivers, but PalmOne is not working on one presently.

WiFi would not interfere with the antenna
also the WiFi would br much faster than the service providers throughput.....
THe only problem is the card slot and the connectors capabilities.....

The WiFi sled is a nice device much better than the old one for the 600...sleeker and has been said to be faster.....I don't know i have yet to try it but know some that have it.....

Spectek has a wiFi card that is very small and supposedly from a few working with a wifi hack......
still not verified that no one can produce the screenshots proving its working....not that i have seen anyways......

Using Softick PPP and my Bluetooth profile, I can connect to my home wifi network anywhere in the house. Its really fast and I can access all the files on my home network (Via Wi-File)
