| Treo Backlight Bug ! Hi, Im now having another problem. If i leave my treo alone for sometime and then after the timeout the backlight switches off. But when i switch on the Treo again theres no backlight. The Treo comes on but theres no backlight on the lcd. The keyboard glows. The screen comes on, which i can make out because i see all the icons etc faintly. But theres no backlight. I also stumbled on the fact that if i press option + p (backlight adjustment button) then simply rock the slider left or right a little then the backlight comes on. What a moronic phone i got. Everytime i have to make a call when driving my car i have to let go of the steering and do this circus to even get the backlight on. Anyone else having this problem ? I think almost everyone here has had problems with their Treo and are just managing with it ? |

| Sorry for your concerns with the treo. You have had alot of problems that are not the usual start up ones. You may have gotten a bad phone.....Most here are happy treo users that like to learn more and help others with their phones. I think this is true of most brand specific forums.
I have been here for going on two years and most problems are 3rd party apps. The head set jack is an issue and some users would like the device to do more than it was designed for but most are basically happy or sell the treo and move on.
I looked really hard at the blackberry but you had to buy their service to get features to work. I think you could not return yours but you might go to the palm site and download a manuel and try to find a treo user in the country you are in. He maybe have the same issues because of the carrier or his may work and you have a problem treo.

| Check Preferences - Keyguard and be sure there are no check marks next to Disable screen when a call comes in, or when on a call

| Dollface > This hs nothing to do with incoming calls. This happens even at the default screen or applications screen. If you let it go out. Then its out. And u have to do the circus i mentioned to get it on. Funny thing is ...its not repeated that problem since the next morning i posted this thread. Till today the problem hasnt repeated. Now its seems to work ok. I didnt add or take away any applications. Maybe its a mood thing ! |

| It got scared that im reporting it to you guys (or gals) here. So before the commitee here could offer their verdict (such as putting it in the microwave) it decided to behave.
Treo Kid - Daddy the girl next door broke my Treo.
Daddy - Oh god ! how did that happen ?
Treo Kid - I hit her on the head with it.
PS : why have the smileys panel disappeared from my edit windows ? |
