There are a number of good cases....including hard shell cases which would work great....
Maybe if you browse through some and ask us our opinions on them....far too many
    to list.....
Plus how active are you on the road.....you need to use it while in the case? Do you need a belt clip?

The Speck SkinTight case is nice - comes with holster, not too expensive and offers sufficient protection. Also, it will allow you to use the Treo while in the case. The Sena cases are nice considering they don't add bulk to the Treo. That being said, they also offer minimal protection if you drop your Treo. Vaja makes awesome (but expensive) cases that offer a nice mix of style and protection. Since you need access to your Treo, I wouldn't suggest a Pouch case.

I would not recommend the skin tight.....a bit like the boxwave flexskin but not as good if you ask me....It does have a plastic cover to protect the screen but is a pain when you have to flip it up to use the touchscreen then the case torques and the screen pops off.

the vaja cases are great I have the I-volution without the flip cover. Top quality leather case....

Rhino makes some aluminum cases and some of them have the cutouts for the screen and navigation....

I say look at boxwave.....Made of a good wuality rubber like skin fits tight and easy to use.....
I dropped mine from my neck which is about 6 feet up and it bounced into a puddle.
Thought i was in trouble and I picked it up and it was fine.....a bit of a scrach on the antenna but thats about it.....also comes in many colors and with a clip or no clip....

There are some pouches that are good to use like krussells side pouch. I find them as easy or easier to use as the belt clip holster style....as long as they slip in an out.....

shop around and when you find something you like post the link to get comments from those who have tried it....

I'm not a fan of the screen protector on the Skin-Tight. I popped that off first thing. In my experience, Boxwave makes a nice product. I haven't checked out the Flexi-Skin - looks nice though.

Vaja cases rock. Once again, not a fan of the flip cover - but perhaps that's a personal preference. I think it's counterproductive on a phone such as the Treo -- I always look at the screen to see if there are alerts, etc.

I had a skintight silicone based case protector with a beltclip attachment. While taking the battery in and out during those CSR requested hard resets, it ripped.
Now I use a Seido shield belt clip. It only stays protected while in the holster. I have a car mount, so Its protected while there also. Just can't drop it while using it.

I had a pretty long search for the right case/holster for me.

I decided to go with the Swivel Holster by Seidio

I need to get to the phone with out too many obstacles. This allows me to store the treo on my waist and remove it quickly if needed. As far as protection, if the treo were to fall from about 5' 10'' ft, the non bulky cases are not going to protect it. I can accept the scratches that will develop over time.

Vaja has some very nice cases with the optional belt clip. I don't want the feel of leather on my face or cheek.

Now I am on a bluetooth headset search. Wish me luck.
