| treo hot sync freezes @ memos I've tried this about three times, but every time i got to hot snyc, my 650 freezes on the "memos" part. I have to the disconnect the 650 and do a soft reset to get me treo up and running again. I have yet to go all the way through the hot sync.
any tips of advice would be great:redface:

| When's the last time you were able to perform a successful sync, and what's changed since then?
Are you using Outlook or the Palm memos? Have you added any memo-type application to your Treo recently (i.e. Pennovate)? Have you added anything that might have affected your preference for the memo conduit, or any other preferences? If Outlook, have you changed anything there? Created a .pst or added a password to an existing .pst file, maybe?

I did in stall a "multiple text" app, but I deleted it with my "uninstall mgr" as it wasn't working right

| If that's all that's changed, and you were having no sync problems prior to that point, I suggest checking out this page from the Palm Support Library. It ought to get you straight.

When you reset, don't restore with BackupBuddy right away. Try a sync right after the reset, see if that works with Outlook. If you restore directly from BB, you may be putting the source of the corruption right back into play.

| No, not necessarily BackupBuddy, per se. It could be that some file somehow got corrupted and backed up that way, so when you restored, the corrupted file went back on. Get on your desktop and anything out of the backup folder that you want, put it back on the Treo individually. In other words, if your Outlook info isn't current on the Treo after the sync you just did, and you need to update your contacts, tasks, etc., do so little by little. If it's just a couple items, you can re-enter the info. If it's more than that, copy the items one-by-one from your BackupBuddy folders into the hotsync backup folders and hotsync. It's important to do it one item (contacts, then memos, then calendar, etc.) to identify which one's actually corrupted. Chances are it's your memos, since that's where it seems to hang up but better safe than sorry.
Then delete the folders BackupBuddy already created, then use it to do a new backup with all good info.

you know what i've noticed?? even when i do the "hard reset" everything gets ereased"except" my calander dates. these seem to always come back. I'm not sure if this is where the corruption could be?

| If you're doing a hard reset and pressing "up" when prompted, everything should be gone. If you calendar's somehow staying, you're probably right.
